Enriching Our Lives and Economy By Advancing Creative Work
Arts, culture and arts education are vital ingredients in Michigan's identity as a center of innovation and ingenuity. As the leading advocate for arts and cultural communities statewide since 1997, ArtServe Michigan seeks to equip and engage a growing grassroots network of advocates for arts, culture and arts education in Michigan.
By reinforcing the ability of artists and arts and cultural organizations to remain alive and well, ArtServe widens arts access, supports economic development and stimulates investments in an important natural resource - the rich vein of talent running through Michigan. The arts are an economic engine driving more than 21,000 state businesses and more than 75,000 jobs, as documented in a 2009 Creative Industries report from Americans for the Arts.
As a statewide nonprofit organization, ArtServe engages and equips individuals and organizations of all sizes to join together to effectively advocate for and invest in the arts and culture as fundamental to Michigan's future prosperity. ArtServe understands how important artists and arts and cultural organizations are for keeping Michigan a vibrant place to live, learn and work. Everyone benefits from this collective force that adds enduring value to our environments and experiences.
Advocate. Support. Connect.
Together we make a difference
