Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit Job Opportunities

Mosaic’s mission is to empower young people to maximize their potential through professional performing arts training and the creation of first rate theatrical and musical art. Our all teen performances have toured to Africa, Asia, Europe, the White House, the Kennedy Center, 25 states across the U.S. Mosaic’s groundbreaking model for youth development through the arts has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, NPR’s All Things Considered and The Wall Street Journal and American Theatre Magazine. Executive Vice President  

The Executive Vice President will oversee all aspects of Mosaic's internal operations, including revenue development, personnel, finance, board relations, general administration and strategic planning. By leading Mosaic’s internal operations, the Executive Vice President will allow the President/Artistic Director to focus on leading artistic and youth development initiatives, raising the organization’s national profile, and developing local, regional, national and international partnerships to support Mosaic’s mission.

First Stage Acting Instructors
Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit seeks a First Stage Acting instructor. The First Stage Acting Instructor is responsible for creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans which align with the Mosaic Model of Youth Development through the Arts; selecting the appropriate repertoire including scripts, scenes and monologues; and creating rehearsal handouts that support youth training. Also participates in young artist recruitment, chaperones and drives young artist in approved vehicles during fieldtrips and performances. This position is part-time and works after-school hours.

First Stage Choral Music Instructors
Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit seeks a First Stage Choral Music instructor. The First Stage Choral Music Instructor is responsible for organizing rehearsal schedule and leading the full choir in regular rehearsals, from September through May. The position is also responsible for running pre-rehearsal warm-ups, conducting the choir and soloists at productions, and preparing program notes for inclusion in printed concert program. This is part-time and works after-school hours.
