The Production Manager reports directly to the Director of Theater Programs and is responsible for leading technical theater initiatives including; budgeting, scheduling work calls and coordinating the work of various technical contractors and Mosaic staff related to production. The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the cost effectiveness and planning of the entire production process, set construction and coordinating necessary maintenance of tech equipment and supplies.
Arts Intergration Facilitator
Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit is seeking a part-time Arts Integration Facilitator to coordinate arts integration and arts infused activities at University Prep Science and Math Elementary (UPSM) with Mosaic staff members and UPSM educators.
Mentor Program Coordinator
This position requires a high level of flexibility and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate is also comfortable working in a team environment. The position requires the candidate to work on-site at Mosaic Monday-Thursday from 5:30-9:30 p.m. With advanced notice, scheduling flexibility may be required to attend select Mosaic shows on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays three times throughout the year.
Summer Performing Arts Coordinator
Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit seeks a Summer Performing Arts Camp Coordinator for its Youth Performing Arts Summer Day Camp July 14th - August 1st, 2014. This position begins on May 26th through August 5th, and requires a high level of flexibility, the ability to prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate is also comfortable working in a team environment. Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends as required. The Coordinator manages written and verbal communication with instructors, young artists, and parents and is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and compiling information related to these programs during a 3-4 month period leading up to Mosaic’s Summer Day Camp.
Summer Performing Arts Instructors
Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit has several openings for its Youth Performing Arts summer day camps. The camp will run from July 14th through August 1st, 2014. These positions will require some preliminary attendance of meetings prior to the start of camp. Instructors must have a high level of flexibility and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidates are comfortable working in a team environment. Must be willing to work occasional evenings as required. Responsible for the artistic training or coordination of Young Artists in Summer Camp, and the artistic direction of specific elements of the final Summer Camp showcases performed for family and friends.
Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit seeks a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator is responsible for managing all logistical aspects of a Mosaic beginning program, including program documentation, communication with parents and youth, and supporting youth development outcomes for young artists. This is a part-time contract position.
First Stage Acting Instructors
Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit seeks a First Stage Acting instructor. The First Stage Acting Instructor is responsible for creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans which align with the Mosaic Model of Youth Development through the Arts; selecting the appropriate repertoire including scripts, scenes and monologues; and creating rehearsal handouts that support youth training. Also participates in young artist recruitment, chaperones and drives young artist in approved vehicles during fieldtrips and performances. This position is part-time and works after-school hours.
First Stage Choral Music Instructors
Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit seeks a First Stage Choral Music instructor. The First Stage Choral Music Instructor is responsible for organizing rehearsal schedule and leading the full choir in regular rehearsals, from September through May. The position is also responsible for running pre-rehearsal warm-ups, conducting the choir and soloists at productions, and preparing program notes for inclusion in printed concert program. This is part-time and works after-school hours.
