Unrestricted Donations

The unrestricted donation is any cash contribution that is given for the general operating fund. This is the most flexible way to give to ArtServe and we will put the donation to use in the way that the staff and leadership team see to meet most appropriate needs at the time of the donation. This is one of the best ways to provide the organization with resources that sustain the core infrastructure, be it the office operations, staff support, programs, reserves and many more great uses.

Sustaining Monthly Donations

To affordably support the arts throughout the year, your financial gift can be made in small amounts spread across the calendar year for your convenience. You may determine your own donation amount and timeframe, and ArtServe can even send you invoices to include in your monthly bill routine or set up a secure monthly direct withdrawal from your specified account. Donations may continue until you request that the withdrawals be stopped.

Make a Donation of Stock

Give a donation that has the potential to keep giving; instead of a cash donation this year, you could donate a stock to ArtServe.

Corporate Support

Join business and cultural leaders in support of ArtServe's work. Sponsor a program or host a private arts and culture awareness event for staff, friends and family.

Matching Gift Programs

Ask your employer, or its financial or human resources departments, if your company participates in matching gift programs, which could double or triple your donation.

Send a Tribute or Celebratory Card

The sentiments behind cards for birthdays, anniversaries or other special occasions could be all the more meaningful to mentors, family and friends if they knew the greeting also supported the arts, culture and arts education in Michigan. Honor the memory of a loved one or friend who supported the arts with a tribute to let their family and friends know their spirit is enduring through good works benefiting creativity in Michigan. Card packs also can be purchased to have on hand throughout the year.

Express to the entire state and beyond how deeply committed you are to the arts and culture in Michigan by becoming a sponsor of this statewide e-publication. Sponsorship levels are available here.

Fundraising with Friends

Fundraising is more fun when you get together with a group of friends and family, set a goal and contribute small amounts toward a larger gift to make a greater community impact. Direct group members to our website to conveniently give online or contributions can be made by phone. Give your group a name and add memos to your gifts, so we can recognize you!

Sponsor an Event

ArtServe Michigan operates a number of events throughout the state to benefit, instruct and honor artists, creative practitioners and arts and cultural organizations. Your financial gift can help ensure ArtServe's continued ability to provide this support.

Contribute to the Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan Endowment Fund

To ensure a long term sustaining source of unrestricted income for ArtServe annual operations, consider making your contributions to ArtServe Michigan's Endowment Fund at the Community Foundation. In the past, the Community Foundation Challenge – Arts and Culture helped ArtServe generate more than $41,000 in one day! You can also establish a fund in your name for ArtServe by contributing at the $25,000 level.

Create a Legacy Gift: Planned Giving, Wills, Trusts and Annuities

Your dedication to supporting the arts and culture in Michigan can carry on in your name in the form of a legacy gift or bequest, so artists and creative practitioners can continue doing work you believe in. A planned gift to ArtServe Michigan can allow you to build your donations into your estate planning process so you know what your resources will be supporting in the future. IRA Charitable Tax

To donate part of your IRA distribution free of tax liability, rollover for supporters, ages 70 ½ and up, may be a great way for you support creativity in our state.
